Quicksilver
I finally read it.
I want to start by saying I have had this book on my shelf to read for over 8 months now. I didn’t know if I was going to like it or hate it. The mixed reviews I got was throwing me off reading it for a while. But I finally cracked it open.
I will let you know I got the floppiest paperback version with Kingfisher on the front and the butterflies. I couldn’t help but buy it when I found it because who doesn’t love a good floppy paperback?
I am demanding Callie Hart give me Brimstone immediately. Waiting for November to roll around is going to break my heart. I will cry the ugliest tears. I promise.
First Kingfisher needs to be saved in every sense of the word. I don’t care what little whisper Hart hears about killing off characters but this one? I will fight on this hill! He is the most loved by the end. After his mother because a dead woman can take our hearts and make us feel.
Second, why the hell is Carrion into that woman?? She is absolutely RUDE.
Third, the end of this book being the reason for so many to scream in rage is now understood. She used the biggest cliffhanger I could have seen coming and now I am frothing at the mouth for the next book.
I loved this book, and I am super excited to read the next one. You can be sure it is going to be a pre-order. I recommend those on the fence read this book as well. I wasn’t sure what to expect but now I am super happy I picked it up.

I listened to it and ringing in my 2025 reading year with this book. I loved it. I might read it in October right before Brimstone comes out. 😍
The new special edition hardcovers are beautiful too!
