This duology has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust for two years. I bought the nice edition of them from Books a Million during my trip to Colorado and I had them sitting there glaring at me.
In my aim to read more of my physical tbr this year I picked it up and buddy read it.
I liked it far more than I thought I would. Tense atmospheres and fresh 18 angst all rolled into a life-or-death situation and a love interest that might intend to submit his life for his family.
I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of picking up this book. I almost don’t want to pick up the second book for fear of it all ending. I need to know if they win or not though!

I know what you mean about the physical TBR. I owned Cryptonomicon for 8 years and moved it twice, all unread, until I finally just did it.
I love this set, start Two Twisted Crowns, you wont regret it it's even better than One Dark Window
